If you're connected to VPN Proxy Master but unable to access specific websites or apps, you may be experiencing common VPN connection issues. This guide will help you troubleshoot and resolve these problems quickly.
There are a few reasons for the issue above. The most common are:
-
Geoblocking: Some websites or apps may block traffic coming from VPN servers, especially popular streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, or BBC iPlayer.
-
Server Issues: Sometimes the VPN server you’re connected to might be experiencing problems or might be blocked by the website you're trying to access.
-
DNS Issues: Your device might still be using a DNS server that doesn’t work properly with your VPN.
-
App-Specific Restrictions: Some apps may have additional measures to block VPN traffic, like detection algorithms or specific IP blocking.
-
Firewall or Antivirus Interference: Your local firewall or antivirus software could be interfering with the VPN connection.
Follow the instructions below and skip further steps if issues are solved.
1. Switch VPN Server Locations
Some websites or services block traffic from certain countries or regions, so switching to a different server might solve the issue.
-
Open the VPN Proxy Master app.
- Disconnect from your current server.
- Select a different server location and reconnect.
Choosing a server closer to the website's target location can also improve access.
2. Change VPN Protocols
VPN Proxy Master offers several VPN protocols, such as OpenVPN, IKEv2, and ISSR. Switching to a different protocol can sometimes help bypass restrictions or improve connection stability.
-
Open the VPN Proxy Master app.
-
Go to the Settings menu.
-
Select the VPN Protocol section and try switching to a different protocol (e.g., ISSR or IKEv2).
- Reconnect and check if the problem is resolved.
3. Turn off Your Mobile’s Location Settings or Services
If you are using a mobile device, turn off your device’s location settings before connecting to VPN Proxy Master.
Settings >>Privacy&Security >>Location Services.
Tap Turn Off to disable location services for all apps.
- For Android devices(For most Android users)
Settings >>Privacy&Security >>Location.
Settings >>Privacy>>Permission Management>>Permission>>Location.
At the top right corner, disable location services for all apps.
4. Check for VPN APP Updates

-
Go to the App Store or Google Play Store and check if there’s an update available for VPN Proxy Master.
-

-
For browsers: Go to your browser settings and clear the cache and cookies.
-
For apps: Go to your device's settings and clear the app’s cache.
6. Use Split Tunneling
VPN Proxy Master has a split tunneling feature that allows you to route some apps or websites outside the VPN tunnel. If you're only having issues with specific apps or websites, you can use split tunneling to exclude them from the VPN connection.
-
Open the VPN Proxy Master app.
-
Go to Settings > Split Tunneling and select the apps or websites you want to bypass the VPN connection.
7. Disable Firewall or Antivirus Temporarily
Your firewall or antivirus software might be blocking the VPN’s traffic. Try disabling these temporarily to see if they are causing the issue.
-
For Windows: Open Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall > Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off.
-
For Mac: Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall.
Make sure to enable them again after testing.
