If you're connected to VPN Proxy Master but still can't watch Hotstar, it might be due to a few reasons. Here's how to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
1. Check the Server Location
Hotstar is primarily available in India and certain other regions, so you’ll need to connect to a server in India to access it.
Tip: Make sure you're connected to an Indian streaming server in VPN Proxy Master.
2. Clear Your Browser Cache and Cookies
Sometimes, Hotstar can still detect your real location through cached data in your browser or app. Here’s how to clear your browser’s cache:
- Chrome: Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear Browsing Data.
- Firefox: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data.
- Edge: Go to Settings > Privacy, Search, and Services > Clear Browsing Data.
- For the Hotstar app, log out and log back in after clearing the app’s cache.
3. Try Incognito/Private Mode
Accessing Hotstar in Incognito Mode or Private Browsing can help bypass any cookies or cached data causing the block. This gives you a fresh session to access Hotstar.
4. Switch VPN Servers
If the Indian server you’re connected to is blocked or not working, try switching to another server in India. VPN services often rotate servers or use different IP addresses, so connecting to another server can sometimes resolve the issue.
Tip: Look for a server that’s optimized for streaming Hotstar.
5. Disable WebRTC
WebRTC can leak your real IP address even when you're connected to a VPN. To disable WebRTC:
- In Chrome: Go to chrome://flags and disable WebRTC.
- In Firefox: Type about:config, search for media.peerconnection.enabled, and set it to false.
- In Edge: Go to edge://flags and disable WebRTC.
6. Use a Different VPN Protocol
If you're still having trouble, try switching to a different VPN protocol. Some protocols might work better with Hotstar.
Go to VPN Proxy Master Settings > Protocol > Select WireGuard or IKEv2.
7. Disconnect and Reconnect to the VPN
If none of the above works, try disconnecting from the VPN and then reconnecting to a different Indian server. Sometimes, a new server connection can resolve the issue.
8. Restart Your Device
After making the changes, restart your device to ensure the VPN connection is fresh and fully established.
9. Contact VPN Proxy Master Support
If you’ve tried all the above steps and still can't access Hotstar, the server you're using may be blocked by Hotstar. Contact VPN Proxy Master support for further help.
