Experiencing slow internet speeds while connected to VPN Proxy Master can be frustrating. Several factors can affect VPN performance, but there are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue quickly.
Before you begin troubleshooting, please check your Internet connection speed at your location. Google “speed test” and then select a speed measurement website.
Different network uses require different network speeds. You can refer to this speed standard to check your Internet speed.
- If your latency(ping) is consistently above 100 ms, your Internet speed is slow.
- If your upload and download speed is under 10 Mbps, your Internet speed is slow.
If your Internet speed works properly but slows down after connecting to VPN Proxy Master, follow the instructions below and skip further steps if issues are solved.
1. Connect to a nearer server location
The further away your chosen VPN server is, the lower the speed you may encounter. To improve your speed, please connect to the fastest server (or geographically closest one).
2. Change protocols
In the VPN Proxy Master app, go to Settings and try switching between protocols (e.g., WireGuard for faster speeds, or IKEv2). Some VPN protocols are more secure but can be slower (e.g., OpenVPN), while others offer faster speeds (e.g., WireGuard).
3.Upgrade to Premium
If you do not subscribe to any plan, we recommend upgrading to premium. VIP users will not have any restrictions on access speed or traffic.
4. Update to the latest version
Ensure that you are using the latest version of VPN Proxy Master, as updates often include performance improvements and bug fixes.
5. Restart the Device and Router
Restart both your device and router to clear any potential network issues that could be slowing down your connection.
6. Contact VPN Proxy Master support team
If the slow speed issue persists, please contact our customer support team for instant help. To save your valuable time, if you have completed the above steps, please provide your relevant test results to customer support.
