The difference between Mac App Store purchase and iOS App Store purchase

Though both are owned by Apple Corporation, Mac App Store and iOS App Store are used on two different platforms. 

Mac App Store

For subscriptions made through Mac App Store:

1. First, please ensure the premium service is activated on the same device which you made the purchase (MacBook in this case).
2. Click “Sign In” on the setting page.
3. Tap “Create an account” and set up your email address and password.
4. Then, you could sign in to other devices using this newly created account and connect.

IOS App Store

For subscriptions made through iOS App Store:

1. First, please ensure the premium service is activated on the same device which you made the purchase (iOS iPhone/iPad in this case).
2. Click “Sign In” on the setting page.
3. Tap “Create an account” and set up your email address and password.
4. Then, you could sign in to other devices using this newly created account and connect.
